2009 11 07 - Bude Surfing

This was where I play a "guinea-pig" for budding L3 surf coaches have to have trainees to be assessed coaching them. The day was cold and extremely windy, with F6/7 winds blowing directly onshore. No one got out the back for the big waves as it was too difficult paddling into the wind and big breakers sweeping inshore. Capsizing was like being in a washing machine. The size of the waves phsyched me out but I ploughed on and surprised myself, only capsizing twice when I was asked to try something new. Good day out, good learning exercise.

A few photos here.
